Sustainability and Quality Workplace

KSD is targeting Australian Excellence Green Star Rating and 4.5 Star NABERS Energy through a range of sustainable environmental strategies.

Key Initiatives

  • Contemporary facade shading and high performance double glazing to reduce heating and cooling loads, building energy and greenhouse gas emissions
  • Large open floor-plates maximising connectivity and open plan work environments with provision for vertical workspace integration through inter floor stair zones
  • Provision for use of one fire stair with access control system for inter-tenancy movement
  • Low sill heights to maximise light penetration and view corridors
  • Three lifts providing fast and efficient vertical transportation including the latest destination control technology to reduce energy
  • Temperature controlled multi-zoned air conditioning (1 per 85m2 perimeter and 1 per 120m2 internal zones) with fresh air and economy cycle operations with CO2 monitoring providing a healthy work environment
