The CBD - 4.5km

The Brisbane central business district (CBD), or 'the City' is located on a peninsula on the northern bank of the Brisbane River.

The triangular-shaped peninsula is bounded by the Brisbane River to the east, south and west. The peninsula slopes upward to the northwest where 'the city' is bounded by parkland and the inner city suburb of Spring Hill.

The city is bounded by the northeast by the suburb of Fortitude Valley.

Racecourse Road - 250m

At Hamilton Harbour, your will be just 250m from Racecourse Road, the heart of Brisbane's prestige suburb of Hamilton.

Here are the delightful distractions of some of Brisbane's most desirable restaurants, boutiques and boulevard cafes, shaded by the stately trees and veranda architecture that make Hamilton the very stylish address it is.

Among them one of Brisbane's oldest and finest restaurants, Baguette, part of Brisbane's dining scene for 25 years. And Queenies Tea House with scores of tea varieties and Coffee Club and Pause for that pick-me up beverage.

The Lido is regarded as a local institution, as is Fiasco's at the Hamilton Hotel, Vagelis Cafe, Gourmet Haus Cafe and Deli and Salento Cafe and Bar.

The QTC - 1km

At the other end of Racecourse Road from Hamilton Harbour is the Queensland Turf Club, home of Brisbane racing.

Also affectionately known as Eagle Farm, it features the new Vice Regal Restaurant on race days, function rooms for special events, and of course a strong mid week and Saturday racing calendar.

Bretts Wharf

On the Brisbane River, just a stroll away from Hamilton Harbour, is the award winning Bretts Wharf catering centre and restaurant.

It won the Best Event Caterer Award in 2005 and Caterer of the Year 2006, specialising in events from 30 to 3000 guests.

The CityCat - 300m

And just 300m further on, The CityCat - one of Brisbane's favourite modes of public transport - will take you by water to the CBD for work or pleasure.

You need just one ticket to use these, or buses, trains and ferries in designated city zones.
